The Story Behind Breathe@work

Throughout my career in Human Resources and leadership, I noticed the same pattern again and again. Intelligent, capable people were struggling with stress, cognitive overload and the demands of modern work—not because they lacked knowledge or motivation, but because they had never been taught how their nervous system responds under pressure.

Nervous System Intelligence

While my professional experience gave me a deep understanding of people and workplaces, my personal experience with breathwork showed me something I hadn't fully appreciated—that understanding the nervous system can change the way we think, feel and perform. The more I learned about the science, the more I realised these were practical skills that belonged in every workplace.

That realisation became the foundation of Breathe@work and my vision for helping organisations build Workplace Nervous System Intelligence—giving people the understanding and practical skills to navigate pressure, communicate effectively and perform sustainably in today's complex work environments.

A New Workplace Capability

I believe the future of workplace performance isn't about asking people to work harder—it's about helping them understand how they work best.

My vision is for Workplace Nervous System Intelligence to become as widely recognised as emotional intelligence, giving people practical skills to think clearly, lead effectively and perform sustainably under pressure
